On March 19, the Ministry of Education website announced the results of the filing and approval of a new batch of undergraduate majors in general colleges and universities. Based on the needs of serving national strategies and focusing on scientific frontiers and key technology fields, 24 new majors were added: they will be included in the undergraduate enrollment plan of relevant colleges and universities in 2024. The number of new majors in disciplines such as engineering, education, and economics ranked in the top three.
